As I mentioned in yesterdays e-mail, due to all of the expenses and extended hospital stays a number of things were not covered by insurance. Sharon is going to need help with funeral expenses. Skokie F.O.P. Lodge 68 posted a notice in the police station requesting donations from current employees and I am making that request to those of you who knew and worked with Barry to do our part to help his family in a time of need. Send what you can afford. Make a check out to

Celebration of the Life and Times of Helen
Helen Dreelan Derham Albrecht passed away at the age of 90 last Saturday, January 6, 2007 after a very brief medical trauma.
There will be a memorial event taking place on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 1pm until 4pm at the Village Inn, 8050 Lincoln Avenue in downtown Skokie , Illinois .
We invite the legions of Helen's friends to stop by to reminisce and have "a bite and a bit of the booze" with us. All are encouraged to bring any pictures and stories to share with us. Helen is the daughter of Catherine Murphy and Thomas Dreelan, both of whom "came over" to settle in Chicago in the very beginning of the 20th century. We plan to do justice to our Irish heritage with a good "Irish Wake".
Hope to see many of Helen's pals...please pass this on to all of her friends.
In lieu of flowers, anyone may make a voluntary contribution to the Helen Dreelan Memorial Book Trust fund at the event. The proceeds to the Trust fund from this event will be used to make a contribution to the St. Peters Roman Catholic School Library Fund in Skokie , Illinois .
Please contact Lynn Derham at lid926@aol.com or Bob Derham at 847-998-9207 if you have any questions.
